Day 2: Family Traditions
{PRIVATE CLASS}
Every family has their own customs and family traditions at Christmas.
If you hear yourself saying, “We always (do, go, eat, listen, watch) _____ at Christmas.” then you probably have a few traditions of your own!
Your mission: Capture your family tradition(s) for your scrapbook.
Keep it Simple: Pick one thing that your family does. It doesn’t have to be a big thing. It’s usually the small details that make Christmas special.
Don’t forget: It’s not just the tradition, but who is involved that makes it special.
Here are some of my family traditions to inspire you:
- As a child we always opened all of the gifts on Christmas Eve.
- We always chop down a real tree around the 15th of December.
- We always put the topper on the tree last.
- We always listen to Christmas music while decorating the tree.
- We always have turkey dinner with the family on Christmas Day, and the stuffing must have apples in it!
You can get some more ideas about Christmas Traditions HERE.
One thing that makes a tradition special is that it’s something YOUR family does. Other families may not do things the same way. That’s part of what makes your traditions special, and why you need to scrap it!
If this year has been a struggle you may enjoy the perspective in this episode of the ScrapHappier Podcast…
