Scrapbook YOU! Day 16 {The Early Adult Years}

Today we are scrapbooking your independence. What made you feel independent? Perhaps it was your first car! (If not, you can scrap the event that made you feel independent.)

DETAILS:

As a child you were in your parent’s care and under their supervision. Driving your first vehicle allowed you to exercise your independence, display your responsibility, and to have adventures on your own.

  • What did your first car mean to you?
  • Where did you go?
  • Who rode with you?
  • Was driving empowering for you?
  • Who taught you how to drive?
  • Share details about your first vehicle.

PHOTOS:

Do you have a photo of your first car? If not, can you find a photo of the same type online? (In the sample layout I used a photo found online as I didn’t have a photo of my first car.)

DESIGN TIPS:

Consider using the colour of your car in your layout design. (The sample layout is cream and  neon green because the car was cream with neon green windshield wipers.)

Symbolism: Use cars, tire tracks, road signs, and arrows to symbolize car travel.

Sayings/Quotes:

  • Adventure awaits!
  • The places we’ll go.
  • Explore your world.
  • Go, See, Do.
  • To travel is to live. – Hans Christian Andersen
