Come on upstairs!

scrapbook room entry

My scrapbook workshop is a bonus room above our garage. My darling husband insisted that he needed a huge garage, so I ended up with an amazing space!

Before we head in you might want to take a peek at my gallery wall. You can read more about it HERE.scrapbook room gallery wallOk… come on in!

OMG. do you ever leave. I’d lock the door and stay forever!!

    • Alice. 6 October, 2015, 2:00 pm

I’ll confess I’m up here a lot in the fall, winter and spring, but when summer hits it seems like I’m never at home! Oh well, it gives me plenty to scrapbook during the long Canadian winters!

  • Michele Green 6 October, 2015, 2:25 pm

Wow! That is so great! I will definitely be encouraging my husband to build a big garage πŸ˜‰

    Thank you for sharing!

    • Alice. 6 October, 2015, 7:42 pm

Thanks! Ours is an extra long/wide 3 car with some space for big shelves. It really gave me a great space to work with!

  • Kelly Sroka 6 October, 2015, 4:25 pm

  • Leslie 6 October, 2015, 5:33 pm

Ooooo, girl! Love that gallery wall…
I remember seeing your countertop (which is fab) in the SH group but I had no idea your space was this lavish! Looks like every scrappers dream πŸ˜€
    Thx for sharing!

    • Alice. 6 October, 2015, 7:48 pm

Thanks Leslie! I had a very hard time finding pink countertop material… they had every colour EXCEPT pink! Finally I found this and it has pink roses… it was meant for me!

  • Melissa Shanhun 6 October, 2015, 6:55 pm

Once you are in the room you don’t have to leave! If you ever want to take a scrapping vacation to Canada, just let me know!

  • Jenny McGee 6 October, 2015, 6:56 pm

Beautiful space. Love that you have your own kitchen and bathroom in there too. Perfect space.

    • Alice. 6 October, 2015, 7:46 pm

Thanks Jenny! We lived in a travel trailer for 17-1/2 months while we built the house… yes, over the winter when it was -40Β° and everything. We lived in this space for 4 months… that’s when we put in the dishwasher, lol! I told my husband it was a necessity. Truth is, I use it all of the time so it was a good decision!

I have been to your scrapbook space a few times, and absolutely love it! We need to get together for a girls day soon!

    • Alice. 8 October, 2015, 11:15 am

What a lovely room! The kitchen and bathroom are a true bonus! (I only have the washingmachine in my scrapspace πŸ˜‰ )

    • Alice. 25 October, 2015, 6:26 pm

Thanks Danielle! I think I prefer my dishwasher to a washing machine! πŸ˜‰

  • Amy 12 January, 2016, 2:48 pm

Alice, Your room is amazing and I can tell that scrapbooking is your passion. I’ve enjoyed your being a part of LOAD216 and hope to catch you on some of your other ventures.

    • Alice. 20 February, 2016, 12:11 am

Thanks Sharon! I’m glad it’s apparent. Scrapbooking has held my interest for over 17 years and I think I love it more than ever. It’s such a diverse and versatile hobby. I kind of hate calling it a hobby because it feels so much more important, but I do it for fun… so it fits! πŸ˜‰

My next big thing… I have two!

I’m the new leader of the http://ScrapHappy.org membership group. I’ve been a member for a few years now and it immediately felt like home. I’m thrilled that I’ll be able to bring that feeling to my ScrapHappy sisters!

Also I’ve announced a new class that will be released in April. Sugar and Spice: Scrapbooking Your Childhood Memories. You can head over to this page for more info: https://scrapbookwonderland.com/spice

Gorgeous craft room! Does it still look like that or have you changed anything?

    • Alice. 26 January, 2018, 8:26 pm

It’s much messier! I’ve been creating and not cleaning up after myself. I guess it’s time for a good clean up and then a new tour!
