Make a Fairy Sparkle Card

I don’t really make a lot of cards, but when you have a super-cute fairy sparkle stamp set, how can you resist? (Don’t miss the video below!)

Here’s the card:

The bad thing about these stamps is that they are NOT high quality. I was late night shopping on Etsy and I ordered some super-cute stamps. Fairies, and mermaids and unicorns, and princesses… all the girly stuff! They came in from China.

Yeah…

Just trying to get them off of the backing was a nightmare, but I’m a determined gal, so I did it. I managed to get a decent image. I’m really glad I had the Tim Holtz stamp platform to help! I could re-ink parts that didn’t get inked up enough the first time, and stamp in the perfect spot.

Here’s a process video:

Here’s some more photos:

I love the sparkle enamel dots from Freckled Fawn, and the ombre fairy turned out pretty!

I REALLY love how the ombre looks on the sentiment. I used the Distress Oxide in ‘mermaid lagoon’ and ‘wilted violet’.  Ooh la la!

This is a beautiful card! I ordered a bunch of these stamps through eBay that came from China. So cheap, but then again so cheap! You did a great job of stamping with them. I stay next to the trash basket when I use them and toss them as I go sometimes. I don’t scrapbook but I make cards for a living and really appreciate your instructions.

Thanks Dawn! I know… the quality… ugh, but I guess I knew what I would be in for!
